What's the best part of Mad Men? The fashion, obviously! Okay, men might disagree and say it's Christina Hendricks, but I think anyone can appreciate a good vintage-inspired outfit. Banana Republic has come out with their new Mad Men spring 2012 collection so you can dress as though you're on the show without seeming painfully 1960s's. These pieces seem like a great mix of vintage and contemporary styles--what do you think?

Finally, the Oscars! Definitely one of the best days of the year for fashion. From Angelina Jolie's constantly-jutting leg to Viola Davis' green statement dress, the red carpet was full of fashion home-runs, and at the very least, interesting fashion choices.
Angelina Jolie looked fantastic in her Atelier Versace black gown. But more noted than the gown is her leg, which seemed to be poking out all night, ranging from looking sexy to...a little goofy. Hence, the "Angelina Jolie" leg meme that hit the Internet this morning. But a stunning dress nonetheless.
JLo certainly knows what works for her! Metallics and up-dos really seem to be her thing, and she certainly knows how to work it. Also, can we discuss the fact that she doesn't seem to ag…

With Oscars season approaching, we all know the famous silent film The Artist, and one of the things that makes it stand out is that it's not only silent, but in black and white.
But what would those glamorous, vintage costumes look like in color?
Mark Bridges, Oscar-nominated costume designer, was the mastermind behind the costumes featured in The Artist. Because of the chance that the film might be seen in color at some point, Bridges had to be sure that the costumes were coordinated for the black-and-white screen and for color. Here are pictures of what they would have looked like in color!

It was the moment we were all waiting for! We saw some great looks on the red carpet at the 2012 Grammys, and some not-so-great looks. Either way, the whole show was a lot of fun to watch!
Adele looked great in a Georgio Armani custom gown. Paired with her retro hair and makeup, it was an elegant home-run for her--but let's not forget her success at the Grammys went a lot farther than her clothes!
Gwyneth Paltrow also looked sleek and stylish in this Stella McCartney black cutout gown. If it weren't for the cutouts, it might be a bit too "safe". But Gwyneth sure does look great in it!
And wow, is that Taylor Swift? She looks all grown-up! It's great to see her try something out a little more mature, instead of her usual flowy-fairytal…

The 2012 Sag Awards meant a whole new slew of good (and not so good) outfits from our favorite actors and actresses. Opinions are mixed on some of the daring choices a few celebrities chose, but overall, it was a fine night for fashion.
Natalie Portman looked gorgeous in this long, wine-colored, flowy gown. The ruffle at the bust is a love-it or hate-it issue, but Natalie is petite enough to pull something like that off. One of the benefits of having a small chest! Plus, considering she's a new mom, I think she deserves props for looking so svelte.
Sofia Vergara looks glamorous in this raspberry frock, but her whole mermaid gown silhouette is getting a little repetitive--consider this an official warning, Sofia. One more safe choice li…

Like any award show, one big part of the Golden Globes is the fashion!
One big theme at the Golden Globes this year seems to be light colors--tons of taupe, champagne, silver and white. Those colors are all totally glamorous, but they also help the bright reds and blacks to stand out--and they definitely have their place in the Golden Globes too!
Rooney Mara had on a daring black gown with a plunging neckline. Perfectly edgy to mirror her character in Girl With A Dragon Tattoo. This dress might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it seems well-suited to her persona, and definitely stood out among the rest!
Funny woman and Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig looked stunning in this champagne number. She proves you can really be both hilarious and se…

As usual, the People's Choice Awards was full of fabulous outfits and some not-so-fabulous ones. This year there were a lot of edgier, quirkier choices--a lot of "love it or hate it" ensembles.
The first example is Emma Stone and her menswear-inspired green tuxedo jacket and black skinny pants from Gucci--is this the psychadellic Annie Hall, or a total fashion don't? I think it's on the border--but I'd still say it's more of a yay than a nay. After all, it shows confidence and originality!
Jennifer Lawrence hit a total fashion home-run with this unique fishnet sea-inspired blue frock by Viktor & Rolf. Definitely unique and absolutely stunning. After all, she has to make a splash here considering the impending success of the Hunger Ga…

Lanvin for H&M was a huge hit, so get ready: Versace for H&M is about to come out--and needless to say, people are excited! The Versace for H&M clothing seems to be in the $100-$200 range--more expensive than H&M's usual clothing, but far more affordable than the usual Versace wear. The dress will be a long, a-line strapless white number from Vera Wang, complete with a tiara fit for a princess. For fans of the show, the more exciting factor of the pictures could be the fact that Blair seems to be leaving the wedding alone and panicked...perhaps she broke off the wedding at the last minute, or maybe Louis did. We all fawn over Kristen Stewart when she is rocking the movie screens as Bella Swan. How many of us have fallen in love with her by watching her love triangle between Jacob Black and Edward Cullen. I'm sure many of us males who have been subjected to watching the Twilight films have wanted to be either Taylor Lautner or Robert Pattinson just to get Kristen Stewart to desire us.
Last night once again Kristin Stewart stole the hearts of many males at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards where she dazzled the crowd by wearing a customized Balmain dress adorned with thousands of safety pins. The dress doesn't normally come like this as it comes in a jacket form normally, but it was modified just for Ms. Stewart.
