Liz Claiborne was a Belgian-born American fashion designer. She was born on March 31, 1929, and died on June 26, 2007. She is known for creating an affordable clothing line for working women, Liz Claiborne. The label was founded in 1976.
In 2008, Isaac Mizrahi was made Creative Director of the Liz Claiborne label.
