Hattie Carnegie was an American fashion designer of Jewish Austrian descent. She was known for her elegant haute couture gowns, and a secondary collection which was more "ready-to-wear". She was also known for elaborate "costume jewelry".

Hattie Carnegie designed mostly A-line, floor-length feminine evening gowns, which epitomize 1950s and 1960s style.
