Lee Alexander McQueen(March 17,1969-February 11,2010) was a British fashion couturier. He was the chief designer of Givenchy and established his own label, Alexander McQueen. In 2003, he was named International Designer of the Year at the CFDAs. On February 11, 2010, he was announced dead. He had commited suicide. Before his death, his mother had passed away. On his Twitter account, he posted "RIP mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" and so on. In May 2010, McQueen's long-term assistant, Sarah Burton took over as the Creative Director of Alexander McQueen. In April 2011, Kate Middleton wore a wedding gown for her royal wedding by Alexander McQueen.
